How does Clear Correct Work?

  • After a thorough examination, Dr. Hedlund will take digital impressions, X-rays, or molds of your teeth to create a digital treatment plan.
  • Using 3D imaging software, we can design the series of aligners that will gradually move your teeth into the desired position.
  • Clear Correct uses the digital impressions to create a series of clear plastic aligners tailored to your mouth and sends them to our office.
  • At your initial delivery appointment, we will show you how to place and remove your aligners and give you your first series of trays. You will swap out your trays every 1-3 weeks usually.
  • The aligners must be worn for about 20–22 hours a day, only removing them to eat, drink (anything other than water), or brush your teeth.
  • We will see you every 4-6 weeks to check your progress and give you your next series of trays.
  • You will see results quickly and have your gorgeous straight smile in approximately 6-12 months!
